Prayer
11/14/11- As you know, Mormonism is all over the news. San Antonio is one of the test markets for the, “I am a Mormon” campaign. Please pray for more speaking engagements so that we can inform people about the differences between Mormonism and Christianity.
11/7/11- Typically things slow down in November, but that is not the case this year. Mormonism has been in the media because of the two Mormon Presidential candidates and that keeps us very busy.
We also have a number of exciting projects and opportunities coming up in the near future. Please PRAY that we prioritize and keep up with everything during this busy time of the year. Thanks for praying and may God bless you for His glory!
18th Spiritual Birthday
Eighteen years ago today I came to Christ at a Billy Graham Crusade in Rochester, New York at about 8:30 PM. I guess a good thing about joining the Lord’s army is that you don’t have to be 18 to in-list! 😉 Happy birthday to me!

Our family was recently at a lake where we were just sitting in the water and playing with the kids. We were about to leave so I told our son to put his flip-flops back on and he looked at me and said, “No comprendo.” He is three and a half. *******Important note: We will not reveal the names of our children on this blog. Any comment that mentions our children’s names will be deleted. It is nothing personal, we just feel that it is an important safety measure for our family. If you would like to read the other FTJB entries,...

Today marks the fifth anniversary of the tragic events at the World Trade Center. I’m sure we all remember exactly where we were and what we were doing when we first heard about the collapse of the towers. I was sitting right here at my desk working on my computer when Becky called from work. She said everyone was being sent home because the towers collapsed. I remember balking at the thought because I just couldn’t believe it. I turned on the TV to watch the news. I remember the first time I saw the clip of the second plane...

This post is the first of a new series called From the Jewel Box. This will be a regular feature where we will share with you some of the cute things that our kids say. Parents, you know your kids say some pretty funny things from time to time. Becky and I realized this as soon as our kids started to speak. We found ourselves forgetting some of these sayings and decided to keep tract of them, but we had no idea what to do or how to do it until Becky received a gift from the President of Moldova Bible Seminary. Becky was given a beautiful...

Friends,I just changed one of the settings on the blog to allow people to post anonymously. Hopefully people will take this as an invitation to participate in dialogue without taking undue advantage of the privilege to hide their identity. Remember, I can always change it back or delete your post entirely! Have fun. 😉Oh, one more thing. This is not meant to discourage you from signing up for a blogger account. Having an account is a neat little way to share a little bit about yourself with others who participate in the same blogs that you...

How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE [tan lined] FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!” (Romans 10:15) Yeah, they tanned in Sacramento, but they didn’t burn. I had put on the world’s greatest sun block- Bull Frog. I just put it on at the beginning of our shift and didn’t worry for the rest of the day. I figured this picture would be a good way to conclude the reports about the Sacramento, CA Mormon temple opening. Regardless of our intentions and...

Today was the last day that Bill McKeever and I were working on the front lines. We had three distinct events that occurred yesterday and today. As the title suggests, one was good, one was bad, and one was just plain ugly. The GoodA Christian who was driving by stopped to talk with Bill McKeever for a bit. He wanted to encourage us by telling us that we were appreciated. Bill thanked him for his kind words, then the man drove off. About 15 minutes later, he came by again and gave us two large bottles of water. Although we had water, our...

Being at various outreaches gives us a wealth of experience in talking with Mormons and hearing their complaints and protests about our presence at their functions. Every now and then a Mormon will give us what they believe is a clever quip as to why we should not be there. In this post, I will list a few of the more memorable instances and our responses to them. Yesterday I was walking along the road and a man leaned out of his truck window and said, Hey, haven’t you heard of freedom of religion?Me- Yes, sir. That is what I am...
