Coming out of the Watchtower can be a painful experience. We have heard the testimonies of former Witnesses (Who were soldiers before their involvement with Jehovah’s Witnesses) describe their exit out of the Watchtower as worse than the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder they experienced after Viet Nam.
If you are a Jehovah’s Witness and have been negatively affected by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, you are not alone. Thousands of people leave the organization every year. Some are disfellowshipped and some just drift away. Contrary to what the Watchtower teaches, there are legitimate reasons for leaving the Watchtower. It can be helpful to hear the trials and experiences of those who have gone through the issues you may be facing.
Evidence Ministries has a support group for Jehovah’s Witnesses who need help adjusting to their life outside of the Watchtower. No question is off limits and you are free to share your experiences in complete confidentiality. You can sign up for our San Antonio area support group or go to the ExJW meetup site and enter your zip code on the right. You will then be directed to the nearest Ex-JW support group.
