Prayer
11/14/11- As you know, Mormonism is all over the news. San Antonio is one of the test markets for the, “I am a Mormon” campaign. Please pray for more speaking engagements so that we can inform people about the differences between Mormonism and Christianity.
11/7/11- Typically things slow down in November, but that is not the case this year. Mormonism has been in the media because of the two Mormon Presidential candidates and that keeps us very busy.
We also have a number of exciting projects and opportunities coming up in the near future. Please PRAY that we prioritize and keep up with everything during this busy time of the year. Thanks for praying and may God bless you for His glory!
Happy 5th Birthday!
Today is my daughter’s birthday! We’ve got a big day planned for her. She will spend the morning with some good friends of ours, have supper at Chucky Cheese, the spend the night at her Grandma and Grandpa’s house. ******* Important note: We will not reveal the names of our children on this blog. Any comment that mentions our children’s names will be deleted. It is nothing personal, we just feel that it is an important safety measure for our...

Last year when our daughter had just turned four (our son was two) the two of them had this little exchange at lunch time. Our son was calling our daughter to come to the table. Son- Come to the table, come!Daughter- Don’t tell me what to do!Son-What to do! It may not seem funny just reading it, but picture two little kids trying to establish authority over one another. Our daughter, the older of the two, doesn’t like to be told what to do, especially if it is by her little brother. Our son, on the other hand, rebelliously challenges his...

I am working on a paper for my Theology class and wanted to write about something that I could use for our ministry. I decided to write about the history and significance of the Divine name and then tweak it when I am done in order to use it for our work with Jehovah’s Witnesses. I am also speaking about this subject this coming Sunday at Shavano Baptist church in San Antonio, TX and then again at the Witnesses Now for Jesus Convention in Pennsylvania. For more information, check out the calendar on our ministry web site. During my...

When our daughter was two and a half years old, she had a couple of words that she use to mispronounce. Mosquito bites were Spa-gee-tos bites and Oat meal was called Open meal. *******Important note: We will not reveal the names of our children on this blog. Any comment that mentions our children’s names will be deleted. It is nothing personal, we just feel that it is an important safety measure for our family. Today at the breakfast table my four year old daughter said, “Daddy, do you want to hear the new words I learned how to sound out?” We have a marker board near the table and the kids are allowed to write, draw, or color on the board. Becky wrote down a couple of new words for our daughter so now she was proud to show me what she learned. “Sure, let’s hear them,” I replied. She looked at the first new word and said, “But.” She then moved on to the second word and said “Top.” Evidently she...

A couple of weeks ago Becky met with a pair of Jehovah’s Witness ladies in the Kingdom Hall. (She has met with these ladies for close to two years.) They were going through a passage (Colossians 1:16-17) in the JW’s own New World Translation of the Bible that is notorious for inserting one word four times in order to completely change the meaning of the passage. The New American Standard translation of the Bible translates this passage as follows. 16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and...
