Prayer
11/14/11- As you know, Mormonism is all over the news. San Antonio is one of the test markets for the, “I am a Mormon” campaign. Please pray for more speaking engagements so that we can inform people about the differences between Mormonism and Christianity.
11/7/11- Typically things slow down in November, but that is not the case this year. Mormonism has been in the media because of the two Mormon Presidential candidates and that keeps us very busy.
We also have a number of exciting projects and opportunities coming up in the near future. Please PRAY that we prioritize and keep up with everything during this busy time of the year. Thanks for praying and may God bless you for His glory!
Only 47 More Days Until Manti!
As many of you know, our annual mission trip to the Mormon Miracle Pageant in Manti, Utah is the absolute highlight of our year. I tell people that you get so high on God there that when you come home, you don’t sin for a week… well more like three days for me. Becky and I attended our first pageant in the year 2000 and then we brought other people with us from 2001 on to the present. Our teams have ranged from three to 18 people. This year’s team is probably going to be a smaller, but that is just fine with me. There is a...

4/22/07One of the things our kids always pray for is their Uncle Kimo who is currently serving the Army in his second tour in Iraq. If Mommy or Daddy forgets, the kids will always remind us to pray that Uncle Kimo is safe and comes home soon. Whenever we see soldiers, the kids get excited because they remind them of their uncle. They will run up to them and tell them that their uncle is in Iraq and that they always pray for him. Every solider we have talked to appreciates the thoughtfulness of our kids. This jewel was inspired by Uncle...

It could never happen to me,Yet I put on my seat belt anyway. It could never happen to me,But I teach my kids not to talk to strangers. It could never happen to me,yet I lock my car doors anyway. It could never happen to me,but I look both ways before I cross the street. It could never happen to me,But I teach my children not to take candy from people unless they have Mommy and Daddy’s permission. It could never happen to me,But I keep emergency numbers next to my telephone. It could never happen to me,Yet I keep a first aid kit in my car...

I am grieved to hear of the events that happened yesterday at Virginia Tech. I had my TV on most of the day listening to Fox News. When I first heard about the news, the death count was 21. Now it is at 33 including the demented young man who decided to go on this rampage. This is now the deadliest shooting in American history. I could talk about why the campus wasn’t closed after the first shooting. I could talk about how a year prior to the shooting the State of Virginia killed bill allowing handguns on campuses. I could talk about...

This video shows the first course of fire for our Pistol league at the Bullethole Range. I’ve got a good start. Currently I am 5th overall, but 2nd in my division. So far only 40 shooters have shot, with possibly more to compete. I’ll have a better idea of where I stand by Wednesday. I chose to run the course of fire as follows;Draw and fire eight shots,Reload magazine on the move,Shoot the Pepper popper (14 yards away, off camera)which activates the clam shell,Two shots on the clam shell,Eight shots,Reload on the move,Last eight...

Cascarones on Easter is a Mexican tradition that lots of folks have adopted into their Easter celebration. The egg is drained out of the shell and replaced with confetti. The video shows that it makes an aweful mess![youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wX7B0D7QOI]

On Saturday night April 7,th Becky and I had the opportunity to attend a Seder Supper. We’ve got some friends who have invited us in the past and it has never worked out for us to attend. This year we made a point to attend because I have been asked to conduct the Sunday morning communion service at this year’s Witnesses Now For Jesus Convention. I thought it would be good to make a contrast between the Seder Supper and the JW Memorial that we attended last week. Boy, is there ever a difference. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the...

As some of you know, I’ve picked up a new hobby- competitive pistol shooting. I have an annual membership at the Bullethole Shooting Range in San Antonio, TX and practice every week. I saw that they had some competitions so I joined knowing that it would help me grow as a shooter. I did well enough in my first league to get recruited by a good team for the next league. I’ve been “Deadeye Keith” ever since. The league started today and I look forward to shooting various courses of fire for the next seven weeks. Enjoy the...

8/23/06 Our 3 1/2 year old son was counting by fives on his fingers. When he stopped at 25, our daughter then said, “Thirty.” Our son looked back down at his fingers and said, “I don’t got thirty.” *******Important note: We will not reveal the names of our children on this blog. Any comment that mentions our children’s names will be deleted. It is nothing personal, we just feel that it is an important safety measure for our family. As many of you know, March 25th was a historic day in the history of Missions to Mormons. Evidence Ministries joined thousands of Christians world-wide and participated in the Jesus Christ/ Joseph Smith DVD distribution. On that date, I had the privilege of teaching on Mormonism at Concordia Lutheran Church in San Antonio Texas. If you would like to listen to the presentation, follow this link. It may take a while to download, but hang in there for about a minute. It will just take a little time. If you would like to have a copy of the paper...
