Prayer

11/14/11- As you know, Mormonism is all over the news. San Antonio is one of the test markets for the, “I am a Mormon” campaign. Please pray for more speaking engagements so that we can inform people about the differences between Mormonism and Christianity.

11/7/11- Typically things slow down in November, but that is not the case this year. Mormonism has been in the media because of the two Mormon Presidential candidates and that keeps us very busy.

We also have a number of exciting projects and opportunities coming up in the near future. Please PRAY that we prioritize and keep up with everything during this busy time of the year. Thanks for praying and may God bless you for His glory!

Time Magazine on Mitt Romney

Posted by on May 17, 2007 in Blog | 0 comments

Time Magazine has an article on its web site about Presidential hopeful, Mitt Romney titled, “What Romney Believes.” While the article does not get into the religious beliefs of Mitt Romney, it does get into some of the moral flip flops that he has made in his past in order to gain the support of the voters he is trying to reach. Isn’t it interesting how the Mormon Church has done the same thing in it’s past? Here are a few changes; In 1890 the Mormon Church issued what has been known as “The...

From The Jewel Box # 14

The kids and I were doing some weeding in our yard recently when I found a small bird egg under the big tree in our front yard. I asked the kids, “Guess what this fell out of.” Our son said, “A bird.” *******Important note: We will not reveal the names of our children on this blog. Any comment that mentions our children’s names will be deleted. It is nothing personal, we just feel that it is an important safety measure for our family. From The Jewel Box # 13

One day our family was sitting on our son’s bed after getting the kids up from their naps and we were playing around being silly. Our son made this interesting sorting sound so I copied it. We both sounded like pigs, but it was pretty funny. In the past, our daughter has accidentally snorted while she laughs so I asked her if she could snort too. Her reply was, “Mommy doesn’t like me to snort because she said it isn’t very ladyable.” *******Important note: We will not reveal the names of our children on this...

Ergun Caner

At this year’s EMNR conference, we had the privilege of hearing from Dr. Ergun Caner, the first former Muslim to become the President of a seminary. I just came across the following Godtube video and watched the whole thing. Ergun gives some great illustrations that he uses for Muslims about the gospel, grace and the Trinity. I thought they would be very beneficial for us to hear and then apply to our conversations with Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons. He also talks about the benefits of “one-shot”...
