Prayer
11/14/11- As you know, Mormonism is all over the news. San Antonio is one of the test markets for the, “I am a Mormon” campaign. Please pray for more speaking engagements so that we can inform people about the differences between Mormonism and Christianity.
11/7/11- Typically things slow down in November, but that is not the case this year. Mormonism has been in the media because of the two Mormon Presidential candidates and that keeps us very busy.
We also have a number of exciting projects and opportunities coming up in the near future. Please PRAY that we prioritize and keep up with everything during this busy time of the year. Thanks for praying and may God bless you for His glory!
Witnesses Now for Jesus 2011 Slideshow.
Witnesses Now for Jesus is an annual Convention where those affected by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Jehovah’s Witnesses can received encouragement, hear moving testimonials and learn how the Watchtower has deceived them. The Biblical Jesus is uplifted the whole weekend through! Keith and Becky were honored to be included in the program. Are you ready for some football? I created a football pool five years ago and invited family and friends to join. This year we are upping the stakes or should I say “steaks.” Instead of a $10 gift certificate to Dairy Queen, the winner gets a $20 gift certificate to Outback Steakhouse. I can taste that juicy steak now! I invite you to sign up for the EM football pool and join in the fun. In order to join, you must register as a user at http://www.poolhost.com/ When registering, you will choose a personal username and password....

“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Emanuel.” –Isaiah 7:14 The Christmas story is a fulfillment of this prophecy. Christmas is the time when Christians everywhere celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. The Bible describes this event in Matthew. 1:18,20: “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost….But while he...
read moreHow Does Mormonism Differ From Christianity?
The following article is four pages (129-132) out of the official Mormon Church manual Achieving a Celestial Marriage Student Manual. These four pages give an excellent explanation of the world view of Mormonism and the central theme of the importance of Mormon temples within Mormon theology. We quote this information to show the clearly non-Christian nature of Mormonism. This article is copied without commentary and is allowable under the “Fair Use” clause of the copy write code. We invite the reader to examine the original document for...

One of the most precious truths found in the Bible is the doctrine of the Holy Spirit (ghost). As new Christians, we learn that the second we believed in Jesus Christ as the total payment for our sins, we had the marvelous gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit permanently in our lives. (Ephesians 1: 13-14) The Holy Spirit is our constant companion and His job is to be our comforter/counselor (John 16:7), but also to convict us of sin, righteousness, and judgment when necessary (John 16:8-11). While talking with Latter-day Saints, most Christians...

What do Mormon women and Prozac have in common? Quite a bit, because research has shown that “Utah residents currently use more antidepressant drugs, notably Prozac, than the residents of any other US state.”* Since over 70% of Utahns are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, there is an obvious link between Mormonism and depression. According to this same research, the problem is more noticeable among women than men. This data can be shocking if all someone knows about the LDS church is what is seen on the TV...

The following information is an e-mail I received after returning home from the temple outreach. Wednesday, April 20,2005. There were two interesting incidents that had happened during the day. I assumed they were unrelated until I came home and read the following e-mail. I will briefly describe the two incidents and then share the e-mail to fill in the holes. The names have been changed to protect the identities of the terrified. Incident One: Two men walked across the street from the Mormon Church building (where the Mormons have visitor...

QUESTIONS TO ASK ON YOUR TEMPLE TOUR In the most recent edition of our monthly newsletter, Backpacks and Briefcases, our feature article addressed questions that might be good to ask on your temple tour. Since the article appeared in our newsletter, we have had an opportunity to tour the temple twice. Those opportunities brought to mind other questions that could be raised when the opportunity presents itself. This article will include our new questions followed by our previous ones. Sacred Covenants Your tour will begin with a short video...

Offending Fish Have you ever gone fishing only to decide that you will not cast your line or even use a net for fear of offending the fish? This may sound like a ridiculous question, but it is a situation that we have recently faced— not it the realm of the great outdoors, but in the spiritual sense in which Jesus told his disciples that if they would follow Him, they would be fishers of men (Matthew 4:19). The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hosted an open house in Newport Beach, CA July 23rd through August 20th for their 122nd...
