Prayer
11/14/11- As you know, Mormonism is all over the news. San Antonio is one of the test markets for the, “I am a Mormon” campaign. Please pray for more speaking engagements so that we can inform people about the differences between Mormonism and Christianity.
11/7/11- Typically things slow down in November, but that is not the case this year. Mormonism has been in the media because of the two Mormon Presidential candidates and that keeps us very busy.
We also have a number of exciting projects and opportunities coming up in the near future. Please PRAY that we prioritize and keep up with everything during this busy time of the year. Thanks for praying and may God bless you for His glory!
EM On “One Living Truth” Podcast
Eric Hoffman of One Living Truth Truth Ministries, has a podcast where he examines the claims of the Mormon Church. He contacted us and expressed the desire to interview me regarding the Impossible Gospel of Mormonism. I was honored to be a guest on the 33rd episode of Eric’s podcast. If you visit his site through the link above, you can listen to our phone conversation where we discussed Mormonism and its Impossible...

At this year’s EMNR conference, we had the privilege of hearing from Dr. Ergun Caner, the first former Muslim to become the President of a seminary. I just came across the following Godtube video and watched the whole thing. Ergun gives some great illustrations that he uses for Muslims about the gospel, grace and the Trinity. I thought they would be very beneficial for us to hear and then apply to our conversations with Jehovah’s Witnesses and Mormons. He also talks about the benefits of “one-shot”...

I was hoping to get to that today, but thing got busier in the office than I anticipated. I did catch portions of it last night and it looked very interesting. If you missed last nights show, you can watch it online at the PBS web site. Be sure the check out the whole section of the web site that is dedicated to the series. There are a number of different ways you can interact and get more information. I am...

We received an e-mail from Bob Betts who works with Concerned Christians in Mesa, Arizona about a new website that the Mormons have that is designed for those who are interested in Mormonism. Through this new investigator web site, it is possible to log on and chat live with a Mormon missionary. Just click on the top link titled “Ask A Question” and choose the “chat live” option. After receiving the news of this web site, I just couldn’t resist. I logged on and chatted with Jason. Here is my first...

As many of you know, our annual mission trip to the Mormon Miracle Pageant in Manti, Utah is the absolute highlight of our year. I tell people that you get so high on God there that when you come home, you don’t sin for a week… well more like three days for me. Becky and I attended our first pageant in the year 2000 and then we brought other people with us from 2001 on to the present. Our teams have ranged from three to 18 people. This year’s team is probably going to be a smaller, but that is just fine with me. There is a...

4/22/07One of the things our kids always pray for is their Uncle Kimo who is currently serving the Army in his second tour in Iraq. If Mommy or Daddy forgets, the kids will always remind us to pray that Uncle Kimo is safe and comes home soon. Whenever we see soldiers, the kids get excited because they remind them of their uncle. They will run up to them and tell them that their uncle is in Iraq and that they always pray for him. Every solider we have talked to appreciates the thoughtfulness of our kids. This jewel was inspired by Uncle...

It could never happen to me,Yet I put on my seat belt anyway. It could never happen to me,But I teach my kids not to talk to strangers. It could never happen to me,yet I lock my car doors anyway. It could never happen to me,but I look both ways before I cross the street. It could never happen to me,But I teach my children not to take candy from people unless they have Mommy and Daddy’s permission. It could never happen to me,But I keep emergency numbers next to my telephone. It could never happen to me,Yet I keep a first aid kit in my car...

I am grieved to hear of the events that happened yesterday at Virginia Tech. I had my TV on most of the day listening to Fox News. When I first heard about the news, the death count was 21. Now it is at 33 including the demented young man who decided to go on this rampage. This is now the deadliest shooting in American history. I could talk about why the campus wasn’t closed after the first shooting. I could talk about how a year prior to the shooting the State of Virginia killed bill allowing handguns on campuses. I could talk about...

This video shows the first course of fire for our Pistol league at the Bullethole Range. I’ve got a good start. Currently I am 5th overall, but 2nd in my division. So far only 40 shooters have shot, with possibly more to compete. I’ll have a better idea of where I stand by Wednesday. I chose to run the course of fire as follows;Draw and fire eight shots,Reload magazine on the move,Shoot the Pepper popper (14 yards away, off camera)which activates the clam shell,Two shots on the clam shell,Eight shots,Reload on the move,Last eight...
