Prayer

11/14/11- As you know, Mormonism is all over the news. San Antonio is one of the test markets for the, “I am a Mormon” campaign. Please pray for more speaking engagements so that we can inform people about the differences between Mormonism and Christianity.

11/7/11- Typically things slow down in November, but that is not the case this year. Mormonism has been in the media because of the two Mormon Presidential candidates and that keeps us very busy.

We also have a number of exciting projects and opportunities coming up in the near future. Please PRAY that we prioritize and keep up with everything during this busy time of the year. Thanks for praying and may God bless you for His glory!

Christianity Today Admits Mistake In “Mitt’s Mormonism and the ‘Evangelical Vote’ ” Article

Posted by on Jun 5, 2007 in Blog | 0 comments

*** If you are not familiar with the Christianity Today story and my involvement with it or are new to my blog, it might be best to drop down to the Saturday, June 02, 2007 entry and read up from there. Thanks for stopping by and feel free to leave a comment. *** Here is the latest on the CT controversy. It seems as if our voices have been heard and CT has admitted its mistake. A couple of hours after I sent my second e-mail to Madison Trammel, I received this response from her. Keith, Thanks for writing back. Your points are well-taken...

Christianity Today Responds To My E-mail

Posted by on Jun 5, 2007 in Blog | 0 comments

I was pleasantly surprised to find an e-mail in my Mail Washer spam blocker yesterday from an Associate Editor of Christianity Today. Madison Trammel responded to my concerns about the CT article that misrepresents Mormonism. Here is her e-mail. Hi Keith, Thanks for your letter to CT. As you noted, the article you responded to was coauthored by a Christian and a Mormon, and it allows the Mormon author to represent his faith in his own words. We trust that our readers will look deeper to see if his self-characterization is correct or not. Also,...

Christianity Today Misrepresents Mormonism

Posted by on Jun 3, 2007 in Blog | 0 comments

One of the blogs I check regularly is Mormon Coffee, the blog operated by the folks at Mormonism Research Ministry. I checked it on Friday and read a post about an article on Mitt Romney and Evangelical voters. In Sharon’s post she pointed out that the article misrepresented the differences between Mormonism and Christianity when it said, “Mormon beliefs are not as un-evangelical as most evangelicals think. ” I read through the rest of her post and decided to click on the USA Today article to see what else they had to say,...

Bye-Bye Kitty

Posted by on Jun 1, 2007 in Blog | 0 comments

Yesterday was a sad day in the Walker home. I had to take our pet cat of 11 years to the vet to put him down. This picture of our kids and cat was taken about a year and a half ago after he had a serious back injury. The kids felt bad for him so they decided to spend some time with him and “read him a book.” One evening we came home and couldn’t find the cat. Becky finally found him behind our washing machine. That was not unusual because he liked to hide there a lot. What was different this time was that he was trapped....

I received an e-mail early this morning from McKay Jones. He is an active Mormon who has made some comments on this blog. While I have enjoyed our conversation on the blog, he crossed the line in his e-mail. He had the ba…, the gu…, the bra…, the… I don’t quite know what to say, but he DARED to ask me this question. I enjoy reading your blog and check it on occasion for updatedposts.—McKay V. JonesP.S. Are you pulling for the Spurs or the Jazz in the NBA finals?😉 WHAT KIND OF QUESTION IS THAT? Just...

First Lost Tooth!

Posted by on May 25, 2007 in Blog | 0 comments

A few days ago, our daughter lost her first tooth. We’re thinking it is a little bit early for that as she is only 5 1/2 years old. Becky had taken the kids to Chich-Fil-A for lunch and our daughter was complaining about her tooth hurting. She showed Mommy and sure enough, one of them was loose. As Becky was chatting with my Mom, our daughter came back from the kids play area and told her that her tooth was starting to bother her so she just pulled it out. She then handed the tooth to her. When they came home, I told our daughter that...
