Prayer
11/14/11- As you know, Mormonism is all over the news. San Antonio is one of the test markets for the, “I am a Mormon” campaign. Please pray for more speaking engagements so that we can inform people about the differences between Mormonism and Christianity.
11/7/11- Typically things slow down in November, but that is not the case this year. Mormonism has been in the media because of the two Mormon Presidential candidates and that keeps us very busy.
We also have a number of exciting projects and opportunities coming up in the near future. Please PRAY that we prioritize and keep up with everything during this busy time of the year. Thanks for praying and may God bless you for His glory!
Front Sight Extends Their Offer…
On Friday, June 29th, I blogged about an incredible offer made by Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. In exchange for posting some links on a blog or web site, Frontsight will give you a certificate worth $2,000 towards their training classes. I took advantage of the offer and received my certificate. I can’t wait to use it. The original offer expired June 30th. I received an e-mail from Frontsight today announcing that they have extended the offer until July 31st and have made an addition offer. Here is the e-mail from...

Sunday is a day when most Christians learn lessons from sermons that will help them to live lives that will glorify God. Yesterday was such a day for me. It wasn’t necessarily the sermon that did it for me though, it was a lesson I learned while on the way to church. We managed to get out of the door and on our way to church with a little time to spare. We were cruising down 1604 doing 70 mph when I spotted a car on the shoulder of the road. Before you ask, yes, I was doing the speed limit. Highways in Texas are fun. I saw their hazard...

The Jehovah’s Witnesses came by today. I found these two magazines stuck in-between our door knob and the frame of the door. They must have come by when we were not at home. This is pretty surprising because the local JW’s know who we are and what we do. We aren’t sure if we have been taken off of the black-list or if it is a mistake. Either way, we pray that the JW’s come back and will be open to discuss the information found in this literature. In fact, if the JW who left the magazines is reading this now, PLEASE COME...

I received this from a friend of mine, Cynthia Hampton. The latest telephone poll taken by the California Governor’s office asked whether people who live in California think illegal immigration is a serious problem: 29% of respondents answered: “Yes, it is a serious problem.” 71% of respondents answered: “No es una problema seriosa.”...

We’ve been getting a lot of rain here in Texas recently and the mosquito’s are loving it. Last week we spent some time in the back yard and got bit up pretty bad. When the kids get bug bites, Becky some times puts calamine lotion on them to help take the “sting” out. Once we got back into the house, our son asked for the “mosquito bite feeling better stuff.” *******Important note: We will not reveal the names of our children on this blog. Any comment that mentions our children’s names will be deleted....

Here is another Manti video created by Eric Hoffman of One Living Truth Ministries. We were able to minister with Eric and his wife this year in Manti. The picture to the right is of the Hoffmans engaged in tag-team witnessing. The video is below.[youtube...

Check out a video about this year’s Manti trip. Aaron Shafovaloff of Mormonism Research Ministry put some pictures together with a song that ended up becoming the unofficial theme song for this year’s mission trip. Every night of the pageant the Christians would get together under a light pole, sing and pray before we hit the streets. Nearly every praise and prayer session ended with us singing this song. It is a very moving experience.[youtube...

Yes, we are back from our annual mission trip to Manti, Utah. I’ve got a ton of e-mail to wade through and have been trying to catch up, but one of them caught my eye and must be responded to on this blog. If you haven’t noticed already, there are a number of new links in the right side bar linking to stories about Front Sight Firearms Training Institute and its founder and director Dr. Ignatius Piazza. I first heard about Front Sight by stumbling across the reality TV show, The Front Sight Challenge which appears on Versus. The...

Tuesday, June 19th 2007 We had an interesting thing happen tonight. Becky was handing out tracts and saw a group of people walking towards her. She offered them a tract and it turns out that the group was from a Lutheran church in Denton Texas. The youth pastor, Ron Dupree, had heard me speak at a Lutheran workers conference at Concordia Lutheran Church some time last year. He was interested in Manti and e-mailed back and forth with Becky a couple of times about the possibility of them bringing a team up to Manti and having us do some...
